“I’m wearing the boxers now,” the Extra host said Saturday during a promotional event at Bloomingdale’s Aventura in Miami. “They’re so comfortable I forget I have them on.”
Lopez, who launched the line in December, told PEOPLE he “always wanted to create an apparel brand.” But developing RatedM — a line of tees, boxers and briefs — allowed him to “develop a collection of underwear that you can also workout in,” the fitness buff shared. He considers it classic, too.
“RatedM may mean ‘Mario,’ but it also stands for modern, man, mysterious and magical,” he added.
Within the line are three collections: elementary, boxers and briefs made of a cotton/polyester/spandex blend; atelier, offering bottoms and shirts with adjustable hems; and play, intimates made with mesh and single-knit jersey.
“My favorites are atelier’s tees,” he revealed, “and play’s flat-lock stitching for comfort and high-tech silicone reflective painting — so all kinds of guys get noticed.”
