Blake Lively may dress herself, but the rest of Hollywood’s hottest actresses rely on professional stylists to keep them looking stunning at all times. But who are these mysterious people behind the stars? The Hollywood Reporter unmasks several of them in their second annual “25 Most Powerful Stylists” list.

At number one is Kate Young, who dresses ever-chic A-listers like Michelle Williams, Natalie Portman and Rachel Weisz. The Oxford grad, who was born in New Jersey, was once an assistant to Vogue editrix Anna Wintour.

Next up is Leslie Fremar, the stylist behind leading ladies like Charlize Theron, Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon and most recently, Scarlett Johansson. “Leslie knows where she wants to go with something, and I like that specificity,” Theron tells the magazine. “She has a great eye, makes quick decisions, knows my body and what I like and has access to the best stuff.”

In third place is Petra Flannery (above), responsible for the trendy looks seen on young stars Emma Stone, Claire Danes, Zoë Saldana, Mila Kunis and Megan Fox. According to the mag, Flannery “likes to take risks, which boost her clients’ visibility from up-and-coming to have-arrived.”

Fourth place goes to Elizabeth Stewart, stylist to Jessica Chastain, Viola Davis, Freida Pinto, Jennifer Lawrence, Cate Blanchett, Julia Roberts and Amanda Seyfried (whew!). “I like working with Elizabeth because she sees everyone as individuals and doesn’t try to force me into something I’m not,” says Chastain, who wowed in Alexander McQueen at the Oscars.

And rounding out the top five are Kemal Harris and Karla Welch, Canadian-born pals who dress Olivia Wilde, Hailee Steinfeld, Zooey Deschanel, Stacy Keibler and Paula Patton.
