In our opinion, the best fur is faux fur — that is, unless we’re talking about an actual furry companion. Menswear designer John Bartlett agrees: he’s just as devoted to promoting anti-cruelty rescue organizations for dogs and cats as he is to making guys look hot with his creations.
That’s why he’s helping throw a party during New York Fashion Week to help raise awareness and funds for his Tiny Tim foundation, named in memory of his three-legged pit bull, which helps save animals from high-kill shelters. And since we’re huge fans of animals around here (particularly well-dressed animals), we are huge fans of Bartlett’s stylish fundraising endeavors.
PeoplePets.com, celeb hairstylist Jorge Luis and more notables will be attending Wednesday’s F.A.B. party in N.Y.C., which will also benefit Russell Simmons’s Diamond Empowerment Fund. Tickets are still available, so if you’re in the area, attend to support a cause that’s always in style and rub elbows with N.Y.C.’s finest. And if you’re not, you can show your support from afar by uploading photos to our Your Turn Couture Canine challenge.
