Model Adriana Lima is constantly radiating beauty and glamour, but what makes her feel beautiful isn’t just applying makeup or strutting down a runway. It’s being a mom, and feeling the love that her children give her each and every day — and she’s sharing the love just in time for Mother’s Day.
Lima tells PeopleStyle that what makes her feel beautiful on a daily basis is always “something that the kids [her two daughters, Valentina, 6, and Sienna, 3] do — every day just waking up in the morning having them smile at you like you’re the most amazing person in the whole world. The unconditional love that they have towards you, it makes you feel special no matter what they do. Like, my oldest knows how to write, so she makes her little cards to me like ‘I love you Mom,’ and those sort of things. It makes you feel special.”
But when they’re not around, Lima simply relies on “being happy and doing things that make you feel happy whatever it is” in order to tap into her inner beauty, she says. “Like taking five minutes of a walk or going outside and reading your favorite book — that’s important. Going to the gym, treating yourself.”
And, of course, perfume is key for the face of Victoria Secret’s Bombshell fragrance.
“I don’t leave the house without having fragrance in my purse because it’s something that tells a lot about the personality,” she says. “It enhances your senses — it’s not only visual, but it adds things like confidence. The confidence is sexy.”

Treating herself, skincare-wise, hasn’t changed since she was 20. “I have almond oil, argan, even vitamin E,” she says. “I like to apply on my face — it’s a little bit thick but I like it. That’s my secret.”
However, her flawless-skin secrets go further than what she’s putting on her face. Lima shares that working out is ideal for maintaining a fresh, glowy look. “Sweating is great,” she says, sharing that 10 burpees and 10 squats are all you need to get a good sweat going at home. “I try to work out every day as much as I can. If you can’t, go in a steam room or even just leave the hot shower on and treat the skin to the steam in the shower, so you can breathe and sweat a little bit.”
But as her daughters grow up, she wants them to remember that beauty isn’t just about looks and makeup (right now they love wearing glitter on their faces and doing their mom’s hair). Lima says that she wants to learn that “beauty comes from inside out and believe in themselves, being confident, being honest, and respecting themselves and others — that’s beauty, I think.”
