She’s just being Kylie! The 18-year-old star switched out of her Balmain micromini (worn on the VMAs red carpet) and into something that looks like it’s straight out of her sister Khloé Kardashian‘s kouture kloset.
Kylie selected a black off-the-shoulder bandage dress with illusion panels at the décolletage for maximin skin exposure. One thing that stayed the same? Her dark banged wig.
The star’s look gave us an immediate fashion déjà vu to the black sheer-paneled Balmain mini Khloé wore to Kylie’s 18th Birthday Bash earlier this month.
Kylie wasn’t the only star to switch up her look from red carpet to afterparty. Below, some of the biggest outfit switch-ups of the night.
Selena Gomez: She may have switched up her looks from covered up (in a custom black metallic knit long-sleeve Calvin Klein Collection dress) to skin-baring (in a silk tea-length Gabriela Cadena design with a sheer bodice and double-zipper skirt), but her glossy Pantene blowout remained untouched — and totally flawless — the entire night.
Chrissy Teigen: She totally pulled a J.Lo on the carpet in a sheer, high-slit Marchesa gown. Her afterparty look — blush flare trousers, a matching cape and lacy white bra — totally Chrissy.
Hailee Steinfeld: She looked all grown up in a sophisticated cape-style, open-back Stella McCartney jumpsuit at the event. But the “Bad Blood” babe looked more like an 18-year-old in her leather mini and sheer Louis Vuitton top, which exposed a peek at her black bra.
Bella Thorne: She went sweet on the red carpet in a mint Tinkerbell-inspired Maria Lucia Hohan design and messy top knot. But she let her hair down for the afterparty and showed way more skin in a green leather bra top and colorful patchwork skirt.
Ariana Grande: She was noticeably missing from the carpet, but she made up for it at Republic Records post-VMA celebration in a black-and-white Moschino T-shirt dress, teamed with a red lip and half-up top knot.
