Supermodels are known to make the best music video stars — the ’80s saw Paulina Porizkova for The Cars’ “Drive,” Christy Turlington in Duran Duran’s “Notorious” and of course, Christie Brinkley’s “Uptown Girl” anthem by Billy Joel. And these days, models are still the most in-demand lip-syncers on the scene, specifically Victoria’s Secret lip syncers. The Angels are starring in Selena Gomez‘s latest music video, “Hands to Myself” and not to shock you or anything, but they look like total naturals.
In the video, models Sara Sampaio, Lily Aldridge, Candice Swanepoel (and many more) hang out in tropical locales (go figure) and give their best hair flips, silly faces and candid laughs to the camera. While the singer starts off the video (and makes cameos throughout) dancing in a room filled with mannequins showcasing the whimsical wings worn on the runway.
If the models look at-ease singing along, that’s because most are seasoned music video stars. Last year they were featured in a rendition of Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” after palling around with her on stage (she was the guest performer in 2014).
