Nicola Peltz has some tight jeans to fill as the latest beauty in the Transformers franchises, following in the footsteps of Megan Fox and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for the latest installment, Transformers: Age of Extinction. And since both of those ladies were no strangers to major red carpet moments, Peltz has some major heels to fill on her press tour, as well. Luckily, she seems to be handling the pressure beautifully — kicking off the film’s worldwide red carpet tour with a three-day, four outfit whirlwind in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
For her photocalls (an early press-conference event before the big night premiere) Peltz expertly walked the line between getting dressed up and saving her major glam moment for the red carpet in two pretty, fitted and slightly skin-baring looks: a Stella McCartney slip dress featuring a sheer hem with wave detail for the Friday Hong Kong photocall, and a short, plunging black number with a similarly waved hem and back cutouts at Saturday’s Shanghai event.
At the Hong Kong premiere, she selected an ice-blue Prada number with a revealing front draping and glittering trim, then chose something a little more fashion-forward for Shanghai: a Giambattista Valli white lace gown with an exaggerated peplum and a sheer skirt and train.
For all the events, she wore her blonde hair loose and down, with smoky eyes and nude lips, to complete the bombshell vibe. Peltz recently opened up to The Violet Files about the importance of trusting her makeup artists on set.
“I’ve done projects where I didn’t feel like the makeup team had my back and it made me feel uncomfortable and vulnerable,” she told the digital magazine. “But if you have people around you whom you trust, like [the artists] who did Transformers, it makes a huge difference.”
