Thought you had a prime spot by watching a Victoria’s Secret television special from the comfort of your own couch? Imagine sitting on a beach in St. Bart’s and watching the magic unfold right in front of your eyes. Well, Victoria’s Secret It Girl Behati Prinsloo says one of the most awkward moments of a photo shoot is the unexpected audience.
“We shoot with this French photographer David Bellemere and he’s incredible — you see his pictures and it blows your mind,” Prinsloo tells PEOPLE while celebrating the launch of Victoria’s Secret new swim collection (and the TV special, of course) Tuesday. “But he puts you in the most awkward positions, and then there’s a beach full of people around you that don’t know what you’re doing, so you’re, like, so uncomfortable … and then you see the picture and it’s the most beautiful thing ever. But it’s definitely sometimes a little embarrassing.
(Also on her “a little embarrassing” list? Her bikini collection, which numbers in the “I can’t even tell you” range — particularly triangle styles. Though we’re guessing she has nothing on some of her fellow swimsuit models, some of whom guessed in the thousands for their swimwear totals.)
While it’s virtually impossible to complain about a job like Prinsloo’s (life’s not too rough traveling to the most beautiful destinations and getting to hang on a beach all day), the model says there does actually happen to be one downside: the constant travel.
“You’re constantly at an airport, constantly in a line, security, which kind of gets to me sometimes, but I would say that’s the hardest part of it,” she says.

Not to mention being married to a guy (Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine) whose travel schedule is equally insane, if not more so. But technology allows her to see her husband’s face while they’re apart.
“When [Adam’s] gone, [we] FaceTime and call each other,” she says. “I think the most important thing is always communicating and staying in touch, but FaceTime is the best thing ever. It makes the world a small place.”
