The Fergie-Shaped Hole in Your Heart Has Been Filled (and She's Wearing a Leather One-Piece)

It feels like Fergie has been out of the spotlight for far too long. After all, this is the woman who gave us seminal jams like like “Glamorous” and “Fergalicious,” not to mention the joy she brought us all on the ’90s show Great Pretenders, which helped teach a generation of teens that actual singing ability is the least important part of being a famous performer. But now, she’s back and ready to re-take the radio waves by storm, and if you needed any further convincing, she’s wearing the full leather outfit to prove it.

On Sunday, Fergie performed for a crowd of thousands, doing a medley of her greatest hits and proving that even though she’s taken some time off, she’s back in fighting shape and ready to dance the night away. The singer opened the show wearing a plunging latex bodysuit with a black cage belt, fingerless gloves, a heavily bedazzled orange bomber jacket, and thigh-high PVC boots. She then went on to change into an assortment of jackets throughout the rest of her performance, adding another turquoise sequin-covered bomber jacket as well as a black blazer embroidered all over with the word “LOVE” in sequins.

This just leaked….aaahhhh!!! Oh well, here it is. 💗💗

This performance also comes right after the leak of the pop star’s artwork for her new, forthcoming single M.I.L.F. $. This marks the first new music from Fergie in a decade since the release of her debut solo album The Dutchess back in 2006. The singer celebrated the release of her new single with a totally stripped down image of herself (save for some very dramatic eyeliner) that practically screams “SONG OF THE SUMMER 2016!” And why not? After all, as Fergie so wisely taught us with her one-off single for The Great Gatsby, a little party never killed nobody.

Are you excited for Fergie’s come back? What do you think of her onstage look?
