There’s so much to love about this look that we need a second to unpack it all. The pink Thakoon crop top. The high-slit draped raspberry skirt with a slightly lighter lining (also Thakoon). The metallic sandals. The studded clutch. The gorgeous fishtail. The minimal makeup. Well done, , well done.

The only thing more amazing than cleavage-baring, champagne-hued, sequin-adorned Gucci Première gown with a dramatic cape? Her husband ogling her in the cleavage-baring, champagne-hued, sequin-adorned Gucci Première gown with a dramatic cape.

We’re just going to be direct about this: Lily, since you’ll probably never wear this dazzling gunmetal Michael Kors design after tonight, we think you should send it over to the PEOPLE offices as soon as you take it off. Style editors will take turns wearing it to every single black-tie wedding we go to.

Someone’s having the best fashion year ever. The reality star – oops, we mean model – easily makes it onto the Best Dressed list in her Topshop mermaid gown, which is so form fitting that she had to lie down in the car ride over to the Met!

She sports the same color palette as the men at Met, but Hailee’s two-tone Prabal Gurung creation is all feminine thanks to the hourglass shape of the white section, the big skirt and the dainty buttons up the back.

And the award for Most On-Theme Gown goes to the supermodel, who shows up in a stunning Marchesa masterpiece. We have a feeling Charles James would approve of the deep-teal floral creation with its architectural silhouette.

One of the few ladies to go for a bold floral print, Emmy is in full bloom, wearing a strapless yellow Carolina Herrera gown covered in pink and white flowers, plus a clashing (but somehow totally working) red lip, red mani and red Van Cleef & Arpels earrings.

How satisfying must it be to say, “One of my dresses” when someone asks who you’re wearing? Even more so because looks like such a smokeshow in the the understated strapless white gown in her favorite silhouette. (What? You didn’t think she’d wear a ball gown, didja?)

Romantic. That’s how we imagine is as a boyfriend and that’s certainly how we’d describe his model girlfriend’s pink-and-nude Burberry gown with its tiers upon tiers and the twisted sweetheart neckline.

Once we got over worrying about a potential wardrobe malfunction, we were able to fully appreciate the model’s pale-silver Topshop creation featuring an asymmetrical neckline, delicate straps and a mini train, which she accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

Another lady in black and white. is statuesque in her strapless gown with a ribbon-like design down the sides and a dramatic train, all topped off with an over-the-shoulders black blazer and major Fred Leighton earrings.

Of all the really plunging looks on the red carpet, this is one of our favorites. Leighton’s gold-embroidered and heavily-adorned Emilio Pucci dress shows a lot of décolletage (not to mention leg), but it feels classy and cool thanks to the loose fit and long sleeves.

If you looked at this photo and thought it was a shot from another era, we don’t blame you. The model’s strapless, full-skirted red gown with its delicate bow belt (paired with a Smythson clutch) feels like a design straight out of old Hollywood.
