So much happened on Scandal last night, we’re already planning to watch it again over the weekend just to wrap our heads around the twisty plot. We also want to watch it again to relive the fashion, because More Cattle, Less Bull, was the most style-packed episode of the season. (We’re patting you on the back from here, Lyn Paolo.)
First, let’s address Olivia Pope’s black-and-white Rubin Singer gown, worn to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. It’s so perfect, Kerry Washington should consider wearing it again to the Golden Globes. Yes, with the same black elbow-length gloves. Yes, with her baby bump.
“Lyn came into my studio just to meet me and say how excited she was about the gown and how Kerry was super excited about it because they’d been looking for it for awhile,” the New York-based designer told The New York Post. “Lyn had seen the dress at Neiman’s, and she fell in love with it. It was really wonderful how it came about — it was very organic.”
And of course it fit Washington like a glove: “She’s a perfect size 2.” (We knew she was sample size.)
The gown is available for purchase at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue stores. But you better hurry if you want to get your hands on it. And be ready to spend $3,875.
Of course, Liv’s wardrobe isn’t the only one we’re lusting after. Darby Stanchfield’s character Abby having a major fashion moment, and we’re just as obsessed with her closet as we are with her relationship with David Rosen; Abby hit a high note last night in an insane silk Ralph Lauren gown.
And Twitter had a strong reaction to everything: Here are some of the best style Tweets from last night. Don’t forget to tell us your favorite fashion moments in the comments below!
