Stalking a wedding hashtag on Instagram is really fun (whether you like to admit it or not). It’s even more fun when the wedding happens to have celebrity guests. And it’s the best when those celebrity guests are bridesmaids. Both Sarah Jessica Parker and Lauren Conrad were in weddings this past weekend, and shared sweet details on their social feeds. Now, let’s talk about what they wore!

SJP stood alongside her former assistant Melinda Relyea (they worked together during her Sex and the City days) as she married James Kearns in Greenwich, Connecticut. The bridesmaids wore long fuchsia gowns with varying necklines, accented with small white bouquets. Parker chose a strapless dress and she teamed the look with a golden necklace and her signature hairstyle — loose, center-parted waves.
“Its wedding day for Melinda! My bridesmaid dress, stretching, releasing wrinkles and then a quick disco nap before heading towards church and a very joyous day and night. X sj” she captioned the below photo.
(Another guest sneaked a snap of Parker — and gave us a better look at her dress!)
While the bridesmaids were traditional, the bride herself took an unconventional path, heading down the aisle in a voluminous white strapless gown covered in a blue floral print. But she gave very old-fashioned favors to her ‘maids: Embroidered handkerchiefs to ward off any makeup meltdowns at the altar.
Over on the West Coast, Conrad took a break from planning her upcoming nuptials to take on duties at her best friend Maura McManus’s wedding in Ojai, California.
The bridemaids’ color palette was soft and romantic, alternating between two dress styles — a strapless design with a lace bodice (as seen on fellow Hills star Lo Bosworth) and a belted boatneck design as seen on Conrad, below. She also didn’t deviate far from her favorite hairstyle: Loose, sideswept waves.
“My bestie @mauramcmanus is getting married today, and I’m pretty sure no bride has ever looked so beautiful!” Conrad shared along with a gorgeous shot of the back of the bride’s gown.
She also shared a peek at the bridesmaids’ gifts but didn’t reveal the contents — though if we know a BFF of LC, it was likely thoughtful, personalized and a little vintage-y.
