If you were just thinking to yourself, “Ryan Seacrest isn’t busy enough. He should get a new job,” well, you’re in luck, because the producer, TV host and general personality has a clothing line launching at Macy’s this fall. Called “Ryan Seacrest Distinction,” the line is aimed at men who have a hard time putting an outfit together.
That’s why Seacrest created a color-matching system designed to make sprucing up your blue, black and brown suits easier. Called “Style Made Smart,” it’s geared towards 25-to-45 year old men who want to look sharp but maybe aren’t sure where to start — and each style is modeled after Seacrest’s own preferred uniform of slim-fitting suits and skinny ties. But Seacrest wants it to be clear he’s not putting pen to paper for this collection. “I’m not a designer, nor do I think I am,” he told the Wall Street Journal. “I see an opportunity to help curate these different pieces for guys at an accessible level.”
Prices will start at $45 (for a belt) and top out at $550 (for a suit), and the styles will be available at 150 Macy’s stores later this year. For more on the collection, including sneak peek photos, go to WSJ.com, and tell us: Would you shop a Seacrest suit? Do you admire his style?
