If she can’t have Kermie, at least she can have haute couture. Miss Piggy smiles for the camera in a spread in November’s
, wearing custom looks from a myriad of hot designers like Jason Wu, Brian Atwood and Prabal Gurung.
“I didn’t want to dress Miss Piggy in anything that would take away from her bold personality so I went with a simple, classic dress and neutral color,” Gurung tells WWD of his belted white duchesse silk dress. “The Empire waist really complements her figure.”
Piggy agrees. “Simply beautiful, yet deliciously exotic and enticingly romantic. Yes, I’m talking about myself — as well as this fabulous frock designed by my new BFF Prabal Gurung,” she jokes to InStyle.
In the issue, which celebrates her upcoming Muppets movie, out Nov. 23 (she plays a French Vogue editor in the film), Piggy also talks about finding your own sense of fashion. “Style is about expressing your inner self, capturing your personal ethos,” she shares, “and, most importantly, spending someone else’s money.”
The popular pig has a lot of fashionable plans in the works: she’ll appear as a guest judge on next year’s Project Runway All-Stars, and has collaborated with M.A.C, OPI and Opening Ceremony on a variety of beauty- and style-related offerings.
