Nina Agdal Is Grateful for Shopping Help Because ‘I’m Not Good at Dressing Myself’

Model Nina Agdal, by profession, is used to wearing glam clothes, cool looks and, with her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit experience, barely anything at all. But left to her own devices, she finds the act of getting dressed much more of a challenge.

“I’m not good at dressing myself, I need people to help me do that,” the Danish model, 24, tells PEOPLE at the New York launch of Kohl’s K/Lab brand, an entirely new trend-focused line targeted to #OOTD and Instagram-obsessed millennial consumers. Surrounded by the items of the new brand, and even wearing a backless star-print mini by K/Lab herself that she calls “fun and funky,” Agdal found solace in knowing it won’t require much work to get an on-trend look when shopping the new brand.

“Because I’m not good at putting stuff together, this is so easy,” she says, looking around at the K/Lab velvet separates, fuzzy jackets and more. “I find one-piece situations, like a dress or a longer dress, or a jumpsuit, that’s my go-to,” she says. “Because if I have to start putting together stuff, I get confused. Whenever I’m the most comfortable is when it’s easy and ready to wear. Like now, wearing sneakers with a dress is so in right now — and comfortable.”

Meanwhile, when it comes to red carpets, Agdal, who is dating Leonardo DiCaprio, 42, relies on her friend who is a stylist to help her select her items. “I don’t really shop,” she says. “My friend helps me out with a lot of stuff.”
