Nicole Kidman: Academy Award winner, high-fashion icon, punk rock alien. Okay, so that third characteristic is a new one, but if anyone’s going to convince us she’s an edgy extraterrestrial, it’s Kidman’s David Bowie-circa-Labyrinth-esque outfit she just wore on the set of her new movie.
The actress is currently on location in London filming the science fiction romantic-comedy How to Talk to Girls at Parties where she plays an alien from outer space who is on a punk-rock tour of Earth (we are not making this up) in an outfit that can only be described as a mix of Cruella DeVille meets the Labyrinth‘s Jareth with her gray spiked hair and black and white outfit. She was seen sporting a white shirt, black zipper-covered tuxedo jacket and black drop-crotch pants.

Before donning the spiky strands, she recently wrapped her stint playing Rosalind Franklin, one of the scientists who discovered the double-helix structure of DNA in the play, Photograph 51, which just earned her London Evening Standard Theatre Best Actress award for her performance. In her acceptance speech, she dedicated he honor to her late father: “I did this because my father died a year ago and he was a scientist,” she said. “And I did this for him.”
