She didn’t take home an Oscar (“It’s about time Spielberg left some for the rest of us,” she joked), but Miss Piggy did look fabulous at Sunday night’s Academy Awards.

The Muppet with the most, wearing a custom Zac Posen gown that was originally created for The Muppets movie, hit the carpet with her favorite frog, Kermit, and made a chic appearance during the show.

Her glam look didn’t come easy, however; hair stylist Kim Kimble spent nearly an hour Saturday styling the swine’s long blonde locks.

Using the dress as inspiration, Kimble — who’s tousled the tresses of Beyoncé, Shakira and Mary J. Blige — created a “subtley sexy” look for the star. “It’s sort of like a ’60s-inspired updo with side-swept bangs,” she told PEOPLE. “A beehive with a few tendrils hanging down.”

Since Piggy’s wig is actually made of human hair, according to Kimble — “Only the best for Miss Piggy,” she joked — the stylist was able to curl it, too. For a finishing touch, she added a glimmering diamond headband.

So given the chance, would Kimble — whose reality show debuts on WE tv this summer — style the starlet again? “Absolutely,” she said. “She is absolutely fabulous. She is the most stylish star, I love her spirit, her sassiness. She’s just a fierce diva — she’s the hottest thing going.” Tell us: Did you enjoy seeing the Muppets at the Oscars?
