It’s been a while since we’ve taken notice of Mischa Barton’s outfit … in a good way. But the moment finally happened on Monday night when she wore a black draped dress with an oversize blue belt, plus a tasteful plunging neckline and a high split to the opening performance of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. Barton accessorized with a fun white feathered clutch bag, silver pendant necklace and simple waves.
The 27-year-old star, best known for her role as Marissa Cooper on The O.C., was a total fashion icon during the show’s prime back in 2005. But then she seemed to lose her stellar style skills and stepped out in some questionable looks, like these wild moon boots, these wacky sequined pants and this quirky headband. And while this dress isn’t exactly a show-stopper, it’s certainly on the chic end of the spectrum (even with the bag), which to us can only mean one thing: She’s hopefully bringing her fashion game back.
What do you think of Barton’s dress?
