Madonna‘s little girl is all grown up — she’s graduating from high school and blogging about it! And like any good Material Girl, Lourdes Leon, 17, is summing up her four years at N.Y.C.’s LaGuardia High School through a fashionable lens.

Lourdes admits to regretting some fashion choices over the past four years, but has a sense of humor about her evolving style in a new blog post for Material Girl, a clothing line that she designs with her mom.
“Looking back on the past four years of high school means looking back on unfortunate outfits I wore confidently to school (good for me),” she writes. “Oh how I wish I could go back in time and urge my 14-year-old self NOT to wear black rhinestone studded t-shirts with bloody skulls on them…”
However, it appears that her mom’s renowned commitment to style transformation may have rubbed off on her daughter. Lourdes admits that she doesn’t want to limit her style, even if she makes mistakes: “I had to go through that awkward time of ‘trying stuff out’ to figure out what I liked wearing best. I still don’t think I have a defined style, maybe because I don’t want to limit myself to what I should wear.”
This summer, Lourdes plans to refuse to be limited by anything — including pants. “As summer approaches and as I keep forgetting to shave my legs … I greet with open arms crop tops, Adidas sandals, fun bucket hats, and just walking around with no pants on and it being ok.”
Like every high school senior, Lourdes admits to feeling nervous about the future, “I was so excited about ‘being done with school’ and now that I’m actually done I’m like clammy and sweating and nervous because … WHAT?!?!” And like every high school senior, Lourdes doesn’t know who her college roommate will be or what her course load will look like.
But unlike every high school senior, the young designer has an ongoing job to maintain. “Can’t believe I was just starting high school when we launched MG and now I am graduating! These looks will hit Macy’s when I am a college freshman,” she writes on the blog. Something tells us she’s going to have a hard time keeping her roommate out of her closet.
What do you think of Lourdes’s reflection? Any high school-era clothes you regret wearing?
