The saga continues! Two weeks ago, Emanuel Ungaro blasted his eponymous design house’s controversial new fashion consultant, Lindsay Lohan, calling her first collection, “a disaster” — and now the label’s President and Chief Executive Mounir Moufarrige is hitting back, announcing that he has no plans to give Lindsay the boot. “Yes [she’s staying on], she has a job to do” he told Reuters at the Milan Fashion Global Fashion Summit on Monday. As for the criticism directed at Lindsay, who notoriously sent models down the runway in pasties and bras, Moufarrige, says “The criticism was harsh. I am sure we can do better in the collection to be honest but I think it was harsh,” before adding, “But it did sell well.” And as for the founder’s criticism of the design house’s new direction? “Mr Ungaro has his views, he can keep them.” Moufarrige says, “I have no comment.” Tell us: Do you hope that Ungaro will continue to keep Lindsay on as their Fashion Consultant?
