Lauren Conrad’s fashion empire is growing!
The 31-year-old star and mom-to-be — she’s due with her first son this summer — has been busy expanding her labels. First, she announced she’s launching maternity clothes for her LC Lauren Conrad line at Kohl’s. Now, she’s launching a full-on pop-up shop at Lord & Taylor for her Paper Crown special occasion line, which means her clothes get a whole section of the retailer’s New York City dress floor.
“It’s a really exciting thing to be a part of,” Conrad tells PeopleStyle in the new issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands now. “When a company likes Lord & Taylor invites you to be part of an event like this, it’s a compliment to the brand you’ve built and that they think enough of you. It’s really an honor.”
Her favorite piece? The Sequoia Leaf Printed Sleeveless Dress ($298; lordandtaylor.com), a cute maxi wrap dress that features a muted palm leaf print. “It’s such an easy summer dress, and I really like it!” she says.

This big accomplishment in her design career just another one of her many goals achieved, as Conrad says she thrives on being busy. “I like having at least one big thing a day that I can check off my list to feel productive,” she says. And that goes for not just her work life, but her personal life too.
Her latest “big thing”? “I take on a very simple project that I can craft, like knitting or needlepoint,” she says of her go-to stress reliever. “It’s a mindless thing, but I can still be creative and have fun with it. I just did my first wall weaving, and that was really fun but definitely time-consuming.”
