Kylie Jenner Resolves to Wear Less Makeup in 2016, But Is Happy to Sell You More of It

Posted on

Kylie Jenner and a face full of makeup pretty much go hand in hand. Even if the reality star’s most recent successes didn’t stem from the launch of her own lipstick line, her 2.5 hour daily routine to get ready basically redefines the term beauty junkie. Which is also why her New Year’s resolution seems to come totally out of left field.

Kylie Jenner

In a new video on her website and app, Jenner breaks down her New Year’s resolutions, confessing that in 2016 she’d like to start scaling way back on her makeup and start embracing a more natural vibe. In the video, the 18-year-old says, “I kind of want to tone it down. I feel like 2016, everyone’s on the natural wave, at least me and my friends. I just want to take my nails off, no hair, no makeup. It’s too much to maintain, sometimes. It’s hard being a girl.” We feel you, especially when you’re a girl who gets photographed non-stop and loves to change up your wig game every other day.

However, as part of her “new year, new you” mentality, King Kylie also just debuted a blunt lob on Snapchat, so perhaps we won’t be seeing quite so many technicolor extensions in 2016, and a whole lot more of the teen’s naturally luxurious locks, which would certainly up the ease factor on her daily maintenance.

But just because Kylie’s ditching her fake eyelashes and contouring kits doesn’t mean she thinks the rest of you should also go the au naturel route. While the Lip Kit queen is paring down her cosmetics bag for the new year, she’s hoping to ramp up all of yours. In an Instagram post on Tuesday, she announced that she will be launching three all new lip kit colors in honor of Valentine’s Day. Get your credit cards ready now because if the first few rounds of Lip Kit purchasing pandemonium were any indication, things are about to get dire.
