Kim Kardashian's Wedding Dress Predictions: We've Got a Few Ideas in Mind (Of Course!)

Posted on

Sure, Kim Kardashian may have given us the ultimate hint regarding her wedding dress by walking the Met Gala carpet in a custom Lanvin design (she’s pals with Alber Elbaz and also wore a design from the Paris label for her wedding-inspired Vogue cover). But since nothing has been confirmed yet, we thought we’d share a few bridal gown predictions, just to pass the time before her May 24 nuptials. After all, what’s more fun than Kim Kardashian white dress paper dolls?

First up, this mermaid Naeem Khan design from the designer’s spring 2015 collection, which looks like the perfect Kim silhouette. The strapless embroidered bodice would show off her killer curves, and thanks to the flared tulle bottom the dress still has a bridal feel.

Our next suggestion: Something blue. Kardashian’s already gone the white route, so something like this strapless Monique Lhuillier design, featuring a full skirt with oversize flowers, might be a great, unexpected way to mix things up. Lhuillier’s latest Spring 2015 collection — dubbed “My Eternal Daydream” — was inspired by the works of painter John Singer Sargent. And we all know how much Kanye West likes art. Just sayin’.

Back to Naeem Khan for a moment — yes, we already picked the mermaid silhouette, but then we saw this sleek geometric-print sequin design (third above) and now we’re totally torn, because it looks so Kim. So we’re tossing this in the ring as a viable option as well. (Or maybe the perfect gown for her reception wardrobe change?)

And lastly, we’re still holding on to hope that Kim will return to her pal Riccardo Tisci for a custom Givenchy creation. She loves to recreate his designs (remember this cutout number?), so it’s still a possibility. Our pick? Something from the archives, like this Haute Couture number from the 2010 show. We can totally picture Kim in an embellished bodice and full veil, but we’d probably customize the look with a fuller skirt.
