Ke$ha's Tour Costumes: The Exclusive Scoop (and Sketches!) Straight From the Designers

When you go to a Ke$ha concert, you can expect a few things. Like glitter, for instance. Perhaps a little eccentric behavior. And some killer costumes.

And her current tour, in which she co-headlines with Pitbull, certainly doesn’t disappoint on any of those fronts. The star can be spotted (well, more like “can’t be missed”) on stage in some truly eye-popping costumes by design duo The Blonds (you may remember them from such things as Beyoncé‘s bedazzled boobs tour costume).

“The looks are incredible, especially live on stage,” The Blonds tell PEOPLE. “Working with Ke$ha is amazing, because we’re all obsessed with sparkle, on top of glitter, on top of more sparkle — and so is she!”

Ke$ha started collaborating with The Blonds back in 2010 when they dressed her for an American Idol performance, and their partnership has only gotten stronger. Her most recent tour looks were developed altogether, the designers say.

“It was a complete collaboration. We discussed textures, elements and colors that have a connection with her personal tastes and the music in some way,” they say. “The result was stunning”

That includes the first look, above, which was inspired by geodes; the second, below right, a cape with a Lion motif (the “ultimate warrior,” we’re told); and the third, below left, another sparkling bustier one-piece “inspired by the Sacred Heart and all-seeing third eye.”

So all in all, what do these looks represent to the designers and the pop star? The Blonds tell us, “The looks are all based on the essence of Ke$ha, with a new adventure in mind. A fabulous one!” Now we’re dying to know if the “Essence of Ke$ha” is going to be her new perfume!

Tell us: What do you think of the costumes? Will you check out the tour?
