Well that was fast! On the heels of a super-successful collaboration with Versace, H&M today announced its newest designer partner: Marni.

“I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all of our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints,” founder and creative director Consuelo Castiglioni said in a statement. “As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colors, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic and adding sporty utilitarian elements.”

The line — available March 8, 2012 in 250 H&M stores worldwide — includes men’s and women’s clothing, plus accessories. According to a release, the women’s line features “all-over prints in strong colors intended to be worn together in layers that both match and clash.” Look for full pleated skirts, dresses, cropped pants and jacquard knits in silk and cotton poplin, plus jewelry, shoes, bags and scarves. The menswear collection will offer more subtle prints on shirts and wardrobe staples.

Founded in 1994, Marni is a family-owned Italian brand known for fifties- and sixties-inspired prints and flowing summer dresses and accent pieces. The line is loved by stars including Anne Hathaway, Jessica Simpson and Sarah Jessica Parker.

In addition to Marni and the recent Versace collection, H&M is rolling out a Girl with the Dragon Tattoo line on Dec. 14, publicizing the punky pieces with a pop-up shop in New York, which will be open from Dec. 14-16 in the city’s Meatpacking District.
