Lady Gaga is back to her old red carpet tricks. She’s clearly channeling a pitch perfect David Bowie with this Grammys outfit, but it also harkens back to the some of the singer’s more outlandish, show-stopping ensembles of yesteryear. The pop star is the spitting image of the late singer with her neon hair and sequin embellished coat dress, but we can think of a few other famous cartoon characters that could have also inspired this look.
Nobody does a thematic costume quite like Mother Monster, just look at the outfit she wore to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl this year if you need any further proof. For her tribute, Gaga wore a custom designed Marc Jacobs electric blue double-breasted satin coat dress embroidered with multi-colored sequins and decorative metallic elements by Maison Lesage, worn with a pair of her signature sky-high platform heels, a lid full of solid blue glitter eyeshadow, and freshly-dyed neon orange hair à la Ziggy Stardust.

This look may be head-to-toe Bowie perfection, but we can think of a handful of ginger-haired cartoon characters that could have also easily instigated this major style transformation.
