Adele may have a new hairdo, but one thing is still constant — her love of a three-quarter-sleeve floor-length black gown. Her Grammys red carpet dress gave us major fashion flashbacks to her 2012 Burberry design.

At this year’s award ceremony, the singer stepped out in a custom Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci gown featuring all-over embroidery with paillettes, pearls and crystals. The look flattered her slimmed-down figure.
And aside from switching up her hair (thanks to her super-short new chop), the outfit looks very similar to her 2012 custom Giorgio Armani gown. Both have shimmery sparkle, and a cinched-at-the-waist, three-quarter-length sleeve design.

When she isn’t wearing LBDs (long black dresses) she’s loving short A-line designs. In 2013, she shook things up in a red floral flared Valentino number with perfectly matching pumps (also by Valentino) and ruby flower Lorraine Schwartz earrings. And in 2009 (her very first time at the awards ceremony!) she chose a belted black midi dress with belted waist and floral brooch accent.

The singer recently told Vogue magazine that she feels more comfortable in her own skin than ever before. “I really like how I look, I like who I am. I like everyone that I surround myself with.”
She quit smoking, gave up certain foods and cut down on alcohol. “I was trying to get some stamina for my tour,” she said. “So I lost a bit of weight. Now I fit into normal, off-the-shelf clothes — which is really a big problem for me!”
