Melissa McCarthy didn’t take home the Golden Globe for her work in Spy, but the actress was still a winner — on the red carpet, anyway.
McCarthy, 45, wore a metallic bell-sleeve gown with a low neckline and front slit at the award show Sunday night. The gunmetal design also featured a flattering band that highlighted the star’s waistline.
The best actress nominee accessorized with a long pendant necklace, glittery clutch and lace black heels. And to further add shine, McCarthy opted for radiant, highlighted makeup and glossy waves.
“I feel really lucky and it’s exciting to be here,” she told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet.
On their way to show, McCarthy’s husband Ben Falcone started the night with a joke by tweeting, “Heading to the @goldenglobes with the lovely @melissamccarthy – we’re single and ready to mingle! Wait…”
But the designer of fashion line Melissa McCarthy Seven7 was quick to correct Falcone’s funny faux pas.

“I’m not sure Ben knows what that saying means, but Ashley Madison did sponsor his tux,” she tweeted of the “infidelity site” which gained attention late last year.
The start of 2016 has already been a stylish one for McCarthy, who chose a pair of sequin pants for the People’s Choice Awards on Jan. 6. So this may be the beginning of a real chic streak.
