There are a lot of stop-and-stare navy gowns flooding the Golden Globes red carpet this year, (Gina Rodriguez! Bryce Dallas Howard!) and for Scream Queens‘s, Jamie Lee Curtis, her dark blue choice is scarily good.

The 57-year-old nominee chose a body-hugging silhouette that perfectly accentuates her insanely-toned figure, while the dress’s black floral appliqués and slightly ruched sleeve gives the dark dress a romantic twist. Curtis is nominated in the Best Actress in a TV Series, Comedy or Musical category and said on the red carpet, “If I won that would mean a second season of Scream Queens and that would feel really good.”

We’re not sure how it’s possible, but Helen Mirren looks like she hasn’t aged since her corset-wearing days of 1994.

Jane Fonda, 78, always knows how to make a scene on an award show red carpet (everyone remember last year’s jumpsuit phase?). This year she’s been on a white-hot style streak. She recently stepped out in ruffles and continues her new favorite trend with a tiered cape that matches her skin-tight white gown.
Another 60+ star rocking the red carpet is actress Judith Light. The Best Supporting Actress Transparent nominee brings the elegance in a three-piece cream-colored suit. And thanks to the slightly-flared fitting of the jacket and super-slimming high-waisted, wide-leg pant, the 66-year-old has never looked better.

And finally, Veep‘s Julia Louis-Dreyfus amped up the sex-appeal with a strapless, sheer lace black gown (which would look equally appropriate in Selena Meyer’s White House wardrobe). While (57-year-old) Angela Bassett chose a sexy brightly-colored one-shoulder gown.
