Models have to do so much in the name of fashion: Bleach their eyebrows until they fall out. Strip down and cuddle up. Pose awkwardly in freezing water. And now Gigi Hadid can add “hit the runway with one boob out” to her résumé.
The star model made her 2016 Milan debut at Versace, hitting the runway for the brand in two outfits. One was a leather miniskirt topped with a blue wool coat bedecked in hardware and leather accents. The other was a black evening gown with blue and coral paillette detailing up the sides, a cutout at the ribcage and one breast exposed for nearly her entire catwalk journey.
Models frequently reveal their breasts during fashion week, as designers are loath to ruin the line of a sheer gown by putting a bra underneath it. Her BFF Kendall Jenner even wore a completely unlined look hot off the Balmain runway to dinner last year. But not only is this Gigi’s first time doing so (to our memory, at least), it also wasn’t exactly her intention, as she explained in a funny Tweet:

Without that explanation, we wouldn’t have put it past the queen of all things plunging, cutout and slit-to-there, Donatella Versace, to style a simple gown with one eye-popping detail such as this one. And judging by the enthusiastic high-five she handed out to Hadid at the end of the runway, she’s absolutely delighted by what the supermodel served up (accidental or no).
