Sofia Vergara has the bombshell waves to match her bombshell curves, so it’s no surprise Head & Shoulders tapped her to be their celebrity face. The actress even included her similarly tress-blessed family in the new campaign, and we have exclusive behind-the-scenes images (like the silly photo above!) to share.
Vergara’s latest TV and print ads launched March 17, and she’s very proud of the result. “This is the first ad campaign that I am starring in alongside my family,” she tells PEOPLE. “Head & Shoulders has been a part of our lives and beauty routine for over 20 years, so it was natural that working with the brand became a family affair. We joke that 8 out of 9 Vergaras use it [the ninth happens to be bald] — and there are a lot of us.”

The star says she’s been using the shampoo and conditioner since high school and even shared an amazing throwback photo, at left, to prove it. “This was in the ’80s, as you can tell,” she says. “I was going to a girlfriend’s birthday party and making my brother take modeling photos of me before I left the house.”
Flash forward to today, and Vergara’s still rocking a healthy, shiny mane (minus the bangs and oversized button-ups). With hair like that, we understand why the Modern Family star is almost always spotted in the same center-parted waves on the red carpet, but she insists she’s not opposed to updos. “I would consider doing an updo in the future. It just hasn’t fit into any of the looks I have wanted to create for the red carpet,” she says. “And of course, it is more comfortable when it is down.”
But don’t expect to see her with a pixie or bob anytime soon. “I can’t really make any dramatic changes because of Modern Family, unless Gloria cuts her hair.”
And as for her wedding day beauty look, Vergara says she’s still working that out. “I think it all depends on the dress. It all has to work together and you can’t really pick a hairstyle before picking the dress.”
