Emma Stone was one of the most exciting stars to watch on the red carpet last season, as she stepped out in one stunning red carpet look after another. She wore a range of designers, from the star-covered Valentino at the Golden Globes to the Givenchy Haute Couture gown that she won her Oscar in for La La Land (which had taken 1,700 hours to produce by hand). This year, it’s going to be a little different for the Battles of the Sexes star — you will see her in one label and one label only, and that would be Louis Vuitton.
In the fall, the Parisian fashion house announced that it signed the actress as its new face, meaning not only will she appear in print and TV ads, she’ll also be wearing LV exclusively on the red carpet. The designer behind the house, Nicolas Ghesquière, is known to befriend and sign giant stars and create a custom style story just for them, as he has with Michelle Williams, Jennifer Connelly and other friends of the Louis Vuitton house.
But for Stone, this is her first major deal — which means major expectations. Our editors predict everything she will wear will be custom, as Ghesquière is known to do for his star faces. However, with her stylist being Petra Flannery, who also works with Reese Witherspoon, Zoe Saldana, Amy Adams, Faith Hill and more, we can see Stone keeping her signature Hollywood glamour and red carpet head-turners. “She’s going to be someone who surprises us,” says PEOPLE Deputy Style Director Sharon Kanter. “We haven’t seen her do a deal like this before, so anything’s possible.”
