She’s got a penchant for shoes and vintage shopping, but Christina Ricci has strict rules when it comes to fashion — time sensitive rules, specifically. The Pan Am star says she likes to wait a certain amount of time before re-wearing old clothing.
“I asked my stylist: ‘What’s the rule for when something becomes vintage and not just, like, last season?'” she tells
magazine. “Seven years, apparently. So, seven years later I’ve brought my Alaïa dresses out again.”
The actress, who counts Alaïa and Givenchy as two of her favorites designer brands, also says learning what looks good on you is the key to stylishness.”When you’re as short as me, you kind of have to” get clothes tailored, she explains. “And you kind of know [your] proportions. I spend so much time in fittings and looking in the mirror, so at a certain point you kind of become aware of what works on your body.”
