It’s Christie Brinkley‘s 62nd birthday today. That’s not a typo. The model is SIXTY TWO, even though we think she’s completely ageless and is bathing in some magical fountain of supermodel youth. So it’s no surprise that the eternally youthful star is still landing major campaigns. Her latest? With NYDJ, which makes sense since she’s the OG of the denim-on-denim outfit. The pic on the left shows Brinkley in 1990, at the age of 36, looking like a teen in a fabulous chambray shirt, high-waisted jeans and a cowboy hat at the Scenery-Greenery cocktail party benefit in Montauk, New York. Fast forward to a few days ago and see Brinkley still rocking the Canadian tuxedo (at a NYDJ event in N.Y.C.), this time in her 60s. Same amazing smile. Same amazing hair. Same youthful glow.
Brinkley told PeopleStyle on set of her NYDJ shoot (which she stars in alongside Bridget Moynahan, Ashley Graham and Lana Ogilvie) that she’s still a jeans and a T-shirt kind of girl, which she proved recently wearing boyfriend John Mellencamp’s concert tee.
“I think concert tees either have to be extra small or extra big,” she advised. “Really small ones go great with flares, especially right now, and you can leave an inch above your belt and it’s very ’70s. Very big concert tees are the ’80s. We used to cut the top and bottom to have it go off the shoulder.”

As for the longevity of her career, Brinkley said she still follows the same rules she did when she started 40 years ago.
“Be professional, arrive on time, and never complain,” she shared of the advice she would give to young models. “Most importantly, always know how lucky you are and have a good time. We’re not doing brain surgery here! So, come with a good attitude, make it fun for everyone around you and then go home…and do brain surgery. ”
