We’ve had lots of fun hearing about Carrie Ann Inaba‘s awesome Dancing with the Stars ensembles, and today, the judge gives us the exclusive details on what she wore Monday night. Warning: Prepare to have some serious jewelry envy!
Tonight was another night of fabulous dancing, and the new styles of contemporary and Bollywood especially excited us all! It was refreshing to see these new dances, and kudos to the pros for learning new dances themselves.
As for me and my fashion choices, I went with my instincts and I chose a classic vintage gown — a one-of-a-kind hand-sewn cowl-neck bias-cut gown. But the designer remains a mystery, as the tag was taken out at some point in the dress’s lifetime. I wonder where this gown has been and its history. That’s the fun of vintage. This dress was understated yet made me feel ever so elegant.
Today I listened to Rihanna’s song “Diamonds” as my pre-show “get-in-the-mood song,” so the jewelry was going to have to be fab! And it was! I was wearing 92 carats of zultanite and 5.82 carats of diamonds from Lance Fischer — the retail price was $105,850 on my wrist alone! Yes, that beautiful art deco bracelet cost more than my car. Security! I also had classic chandelier white-diamond earrings by Rhonda Faber Green and a platinum and rose-gold ring, with white diamonds, by Supreme.
For hair we did loose waves — [hair stylist] Anna Maria achieved this look by alternating between a 2-in. and a 1.5-in. curling iron. For makeup, we did the classic — smoky eye with a new lipstick care of Chanel. The color is called Impertinence and I might have to steal that one. (Shhhh … don’t tell [makeup artist] Jojo.)
Oh, and one last tip: everyone always asks me about my skin and how it’s so sparkly. To get that DWTS shimmer, we put on a special mix of Noriko Lavender Oil and Scott Barnes Body Bling — it give such a nice glow. I think every girl should have it in her special arsenal of goodies.
Enjoy your week!
