Caitlyn Jenner is a very decisive shopper. The 65-year-old star visited Patricia Field’s Soho store on Tuesday wearing a leopard dress and re-emerged less than two hours later in a completely different outfit.
Caitlyn chose a multicolor sequin minidress and black blazer, plus a printed clutch for her next round of outings in N.Y.C. But one part of her look stayed the same — those classic black slingbacks.
Field, the costume designer famously known for her work on Sex and the City, was at the store to greet Caitlyn, and we imagine she helped her style the look (one which Carrie Bradshaw would definitely endorse!).
An insider recently told PEOPLE that Caitlyn has been looking forward to the simple day-to-day activities — like shopping — associated with her transition.
“The freedom to wear female clothes, to go for a coffee again and not have to hide,” the Keeping Up with the Kardashians source said. “Just simple things that most people never think twice about.”
As for her glam transformation, Caitlyn’s stepdaughter Kim Kardashian West revealed to Glamour that she was involved in prepping Caitlyn for her official debut and has helped her with her style choices.
“I was like, ‘If you are going to do this, you cannot look a mess.’ I went shopping. I’m helping [her] pick glam teams. [She] has to look good,” Kardashian West said, adding, “I’m prepping her to have the best wardrobe and hair and to feel really good about herself. I know she would want that.”
And Caitlyn’s wardrobe has proved to be polished, classic and the right amount of sexy. She’s been showing her love for the wrap-dress silhouette and has stepped out with a number of fun Elisabeth Weinstock clutches.
