Bella Thorne Stars in New Candie's Campaign and Spills on Her 'Tomboy-ish Style'

She may only be 16, but Bella Thorne has already established herself as one to watch in the fashion world. (She’s right up there with Kiernan Shipka and Hailee Steinfeld, in our book!) We’d totally raid her closet if we got the chance.

Candie’s also took notice — the actress is now showing her love for style as the line’s latest brand ambassador — and while she wears minis in most of the ads, she can’t wait to wear some of the longer pieces in the new spring collection.

“I love the maxi dresses,” she tells PEOPLE. “I plan on wearing them with a cute sandal, long necklaces, possibly a floppy hat in the summer. I’m going to do a total Bohemian look with it.”

It’s not just access to all the clothes (sold exclusively at Kohl’s — but we bet hers come right to her house) that has her excited. Thorne’s also honored to join the list of famous Candie’s girls who came before her. “It is so exciting because I’m joining people I look up to admire … total icons,” she shares. “I think the Candie’s ads have always had a timeless and iconic feel to them. For me, it means, I’m moving up, following my dreams just like Britney, Vanessa and Carly Rae did before me. The Candie’s brand signifies all things feminine and it’s all about girl power. I am happy that I get to celebrate that image with them.”

Thorne’s fans already know she loves to push the envelope on the red carpet (like this crop top high-waisted skirt ensemble), but when she’s not getting snapped at events, she’s more low-key.

“My red carpet style is girly and tends to lean more towards dresses,” she says. “My personal style is more laid back, almost tomboyish. I love jeans and Converse and t-shirts.”
