Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair
In Schumer’s cover shoot for the magazine’s May issue, she takes her love for nudity to new heights by posing in a “No Coffee, No Workee” T-shirt — and nothing else. Instead of underwear, she sports a flame on her nether regions, bringing “new meaning to ‘it’s lit'” according the mag.
“I begged Annie to photograph me with no underwear on in just a T-shirt,” Schumer tells Vanity Fair. “I explained to her how important it was to me and she finally agreed. I felt powerful and beautiful. She understood once we shot it. Or maybe she ran to the bathroom to throw up. It was one of the most meaningful moments of my life.”
Convincing photographers to let her take her clothes off is a common trend for the star. In an interview for her Entertainment Weekly cover, for which she posed completely naked covered in air plane-size alcohol bottles, Schumer claims that it was all her idea.
“I was like, ‘Stop it — I’m going to be naked,’ ” she said of changing the direction of the cover image after EW initially suggested she pose in a black dress covered in candy wrappers.
