The fashion crowd is on their way to Paris to catch the last leg of Fashion Month, but a few stylish stars first headed to the south of France over the weekend for something even more glamorous and over-the-top than fashion week — the wedding of art collector Alberto Mugrabi, 46, and Minnie Muse fashion blogger Colby Jordan, 23. Guests included Karlie Kloss, Heidi Klum, Owen Wilson (who also served as a groomsmen!), Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and many more fashionable celebs. Catch every detail of the over-the-top affair below.
First let’s get up to speed on these fashionable newlyweds. Mugrabi is the son of Israeli industrialist and art collector Jose Mugrabi, and Jordan is the daughter of billionaire Chicago business mogul John W. Jordan II.
The couple wed at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France and the father of the bride took every precaution imaginable to make sure the venue “will be safer than the White House.” He had security boats around the shoreline, an anti-drone falconer and guests were asked to wear ID badges at all times and abide by the ban on social media. As you may guess, few followed the last rule and we caught an inside glimpse of the lavish affair thanks to #tolby.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen posed for a pic with guests wearing party-ready dresses that were more playful than their usually covered-up uniforms. Mary-Kate chose an off-the-shoulder black dress with white lapel detailing and a wreath-style diamond necklace, while Ashley wore an embellished dark green gown with high-low hem, and both opted for updo hairstyles (another switch from their typically loose-flowing strands.)
While in France, the sisters turned the destination wedding into a “holiday in the sun” (we had to) hitting the pool at the luxe hotel in black swimsuits.
Kloss wore a Dolce & Gabbana nude lace dress and snapped a pic of her wedding date, Princess Beatrice, in gold sequins.
Heidi Klum posted a photo with her boyfriend, art curator Vito Schnabel.
Wilson was no wedding crasher at this affair, attending as a groomsmen, but we still hope he passed down his savvy crashing skills to the next generation.
And of course, man about town Derek Blasberg was on-hand documenting the most Insta-worthy moments of the event.
As for the bride, Vogue confirms she wore a Valentino Couture gown with a sheer neckline and sleeves embellished with Swiss dot embroidery.
In case you didn’t get enough FOMO from what may be the most glamorous wedding of the season, here are a few more pics to fill your fix.
