On Sunday, Rihanna wore a navy suede hooded jumpsuit in Los Angeles, which we confirmed is a part of her spring collection for the British streetwear brand. (No other images of the line’s pieces have been released.) The baggy drawstring number gives us a first glimpse as to what to expect from Rihanna’s entire line — and we can already see how the star’s current ’90s-inspired street style is going to be reflected in the rest of the designs.
Early Tuesday morning, Rihanna Tweeted a picture of herself with three models on the set of the collection’s campaign shoot, with the caption, “Just directed my first ad campaign for my new collection with River Island, Spring/Summer 2013!! And that’s a wrap at the end of a 2 day shoot w/ MARIO SORRENTI.”
While a few other outlets have reported that the photo features looks from the superstar’s collection, we learned from the brand that none of the ladies in the pic are in fact wearing any pieces from Rihanna’s River Island line. We guess we’ll just have to wait for Rihanna to use the streets as her runway and model a second look.
