Oops, Luis Suérez did it again.

As he had twice before, the Uruguayan football star allegedly bit an opposing player on the pitch during Tuesday’s World Cup match against Italy.

Human flesh is something of a weakness for Suérez – the 27-year-old footballer had previously chomped down on opponents while playing for AFC Ajax in the Netherlands in 2010, and for Liverpool in the English Premier League in 2013.

Though Uruguay beat Italy 1-0 to move into the knockout stage of the World Cup, there is a chance that Suérez will not be there to join them; FIFA is still considering his punishment, and it’s possible he will be banned from the remainder of the tournament.

Coming during a slow day of group play, Suérez’s bite was the story of Tuesday’s World Cup matches, and instantly started a social-media firestorm. See the best reactions to the surprise mandible assault below:
