Hey, Katy!

Congrats, girl! We’re so psyched that you’re officially going to be performing at the Super Bowl. Not that we, like, doubted it for a second, but happy to see the confirmation today. Not sure you have service in the middle of Sydney Harbor, but we figured we’d send this on the off chance that you are checking emails.

Doing the halftime show is a really, really big deal. So we took it upon ourselves to put together a little cheat sheet for you. Try to study the below in between stops on your Prismatic Tour.

(Oh, and by the way, loved your announcement video. So fun! This is exactly the kind of energy – and glitter – we want to see at the game on Feb. 1!)

Anyhow, here are five past performances we think you’d benefit from checking out.

1993: Michael Jackson
The King of Pop doing a medley of his best hits. Maybe you do a mix of your No. 1 songs? Just a thought.

2001: ‘N Sync, Britney Spears, Nelly, Mary J. Blige and Aerosmith
You should totally invite some of your friends to perform with you.

2004: Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake
While controversy makes for a memorable performance, all we need say is: Don’t forget the double-stick tape. You don’t need a nip slip to be remembered, KP.

2012: Madonna
It’s important to make an entrance. Nobody knows this better than Madge. (And if anyone can rival her costumes, it’s you!)

2013: Beyoncé
Pyrotechnics help. And when in doubt, stomp around in thigh-high boots.
