The Blue Jays won the game, but this kid won some hearts.

A pint-sized lothario used some quick sleight of hand to convince his crush he’d given her a foul ball at a major league baseball game – but a look at the replay confirmed he’d been planning ahead.

In the fourth inning of Saturday’s game between the Texas Rangers and the Toronto Blue Jays, a young fan caught a ball from Blue Jays third-base coach Luis Rivera and immediately turned around and handed it to a gaggle of women sitting behind him. Or so it appeared.

In reality, the kid brought a decoy ball to the game, seemingly for this very purpose, and it was this ball which he gave away. The real one he likely kept as a treasured memento of the day he went viral.

Watch the video above. It’s cute now, but if he’s still doing this in 20 years, it’s going to be Mystery levels of creepitude.
