All expectant mums have the right to put their feet up as the big day approaches.
But when you re a British royal and have access to homes all over the United Kingdom, just where do you choose to rest?
The answer for Princess Kate has simply been to kick back at her family home in Bucklebury, England.
When she is not in London at Kensington Palace, the expectant princess has been spending time surrounded by the rural peace of her home village in Berkshire.
But, as you would expect from someone so close to giving birth, she has kept a very low profile.
“Kate was here for a few days in the week,” a local source tells PEOPLE. “Nobody saw her around though – she must have just stayed in the house having a rest.”
It is thought that Kate has now moved on to Kensington Palace, where she is little more than an easy pram stroll from the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital, London.
Back in 2013 Kate stayed in Bucklebury with parents Michael and Carole Middleton before moving back to her then-home, Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace, just before the birth.
It was from there that she later made the short trip across London’s Hyde Park to the hospital for the main event itself.
Given Kate and Prince William‘s longstanding affection for Bucklebury, it’s hardly surprising she’s decided to rest in the village a second time around.
The couple have spent years hiking through the woods together and are known to enjoy the solitude and normality it allows them.
“You often see William and Kate wandering through the fields,” adds another local.
“But Kate doesn’t venture out of the house much when she’s at home these days.
“She just relaxes at home with her mum and dad where she knows it’s totally private and she can completely relax,” the local says.
With the eyes of the world now focused on her every move, who could blame her!
