Party at the royal kids’ table!
Sweden’s Princess Madeleine took a sweet snap of cousins Princess Estelle, 4, and Princess Leonore, 2, holding hands with Leonore’s 18-month-old brother Prince Nicolas during a formal festive lunch at Stockholm’s Royal Palace on Thursday.
Like proud parents everywhere, the royal mom posted the adorable photo to Facebook. And it’s certainly not the first time she’s gushed about the cousins on social media. Madeleine shared an oh-so-cute photo of Estelle and Leonore having a gigglefest during Prince Oscar’s christening in May.
“For me to blend in a little bit of my personal life [on social media] and to show who I am and who my family is, is important,” she told PEOPLE in September.
Princess Estelle was all smiles in the photo, just days after accepting seven stunning royal Christmas trees at the palace. And while her parents, Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, are in Italy for a three-day trip, she’s keeping busy with her royal playmates.
“We’ve always been quite close – even though I’ve lived abroad – but when you have kids, it’s an extra connection,” Madeleine, who currently lives in London, said of the bond she shares with her siblings.
“And the little cousins, Leonore and Estelle, they’re very close – they’re more like sisters,” she added. “Victoria and I try very hard to make it so they really can see each other and play and have fun.
“Cousins are great – they are your friends, but they’re family. They can support each other.”
