In her first official engagement since she and Prince William moved into their Kensington Palace Apartment 1a residence at the beginning of this month – and only one day after son Prince George‘s christening – Kate hosted a 100 Women in Hedge Funds Philanthropic Initiatives gala dinner, held Thursday night in London’s Kensington Palace State Apartments.
Dressed in Jenny Packham, Kate, who is a patron of the organization – as is William and Prince Harry – presented Dame Amelia Fawcett, DBE with the 100 Women in Hedge Funds’ 2013 European Industry Leadership Award.
The evening’s theme was “Mentoring,” with net proceeds from the event going to Action on Addiction, of which the Duchess is also a patron.
Talking of the christening, Kate told a guest, “He was such a good boy actually. We’re very lucky, he’s not always like that.”
