Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall had the perfect way of welcoming Meghan Markle to the family: “America’s loss is our gain.”

She was speaking a day after her stepson Prince Harry announced that he and Meghan are to wed in the spring. Later today, it is expected that palace officials will reveal the month and the venue for the nuptials.

Camilla, 70, told reporters that she is “absolutely thrilled — it’s brilliant.”

She added, “America’s loss is our gain. We are all absolutely delighted. As you can see, they’re so happy. Sometimes in a climate where we’re surrounded by a lot of bad news, it’s a real joy to have a bit of good news for once.”
