Even a quiet night at the Sunset Strip’s legendary Chateau Marmont is star-studded. The hotel, famous for its old Hollywood glamour and laid-back atmosphere – outside is a charming terrace ringed with palms, while inside comfy overstuffed couches crowd “the living room” – makes even the biggest stars feel like they are among (often famous) friends.

On a recent weeknight, Lindsay Lohan kept a low profile under a black fedora while enjoying a quiet drink on the patio with a male companion – who was not new beau Harry Morton.

On her way out, Lohan walked right past Oscar winner Charlize Theron, who was looking casual in a messy updo while having dinner in the garden with Barbershop producer Robert Teitel and friends.

Also enjoying the warm weather outside and grabbing a bite were Joely Richardson and her mother, Vanessa Redgrave. Meanwhile, Mary-Kate Olsen stopped for drinks with a gaggle of pals and former Alias star Lena Olin caroused with her own raucous group of friends.

Upstairs on the terrace of the sixth-floor suite, Hollywood honchos Harvey Weinstein and Paramount’s Brad Grey, as well as My Big Fat Greek Wedding star Nia Vardalos and others, celebrated Variety editor Peter Bart‘s new Miramax book, Boffo: How I Learned to Love the Blockbuster and Fear the Bomb, with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
