The rock star, 67, was photographed in Los Angeles still wearing his wedding band. News broke on Saturday that Ozzy and Sharon were splitting after 33 years of marriage, and rumors of infidelity quickly began to swirl.
On Saturday, Osbourne spoke to E! News, insisting issues with sobriety have nothing to do with the split.
“I have been sober for three and a quarter years,” Ozzy told E! News. “I have not touched drugs or alcohol in that time. Any reports that I am not sober are completely inaccurate.”
On Monday, Sharon, 63, skipped her show The Talk, but her co-host, Julie Chen addressed the absence.
“There were many tabloid headlines this weekend about Sharon and her husband Ozzy, rumors and speculation that they have split up after 33 years of marriage,” Chen said. “Sharon understandably took today off. We are sending all of our love to her and to her family, and we ask that you do the same.”
A source previously told PEOPLE that though the couple have had their ups and downs, this one might be the last.
“I don’t know how much more she can take,” the source said of Sharon. “It just weighs you down.”
Added the source, “Sharon has been pretty down.”
