ENRIQUE’S PLASTIC SURGERY
Enrique Iglesias talked about his new mole-less look while at the Ellen DeGeneres Show. “I had it removed,” he said, adding that he had some second thoughts about the loss of his well-known facial accessory. “I was laying there and the guy is cutting it, and his assistant goes, ‘Well, my wife likes it. Maybe you shouldn’t remove it,’ and it was halfway off and I’m like, ‘Stop!’ but it was way too late.” Iglesias says a fan later offered him $1 million for the removed birthmark: “Now I wish I would have kept it!”
NO PLACE LIKE HOME
That ’70s Show’s Topher Grace, who stars in January’s romantic comedy Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!, gave costar Kate Bosworth a bit of nostalgia after the movie wrapped. “We both grew up in Darien, Conn. I even chaperoned her on ski trips,” says Grace, 25. “So I gave Kate a Darien Blue Wave jacket. We had no great love for athletics, but everyone wore it when we were back in middle school. She cracked up when I gave it to her.” Says Bosworth, 20: “When I was in school, it was a very cool thing, so Topher has made me feel like I could fit in.”
YOU DON’T KNOW JACK
Americans love him on MTV, but they probably won’t get a peek at Jack Osbourne’s new British talk show, Union Jack. It’s “too English and way too dry for American humor,” says Ozzy’s mop-topped son. “No one would get it.” The series, which premiered in late November, takes an irreverent look at life in L.A., and has so far included such guests as Marilyn Manson (Jack takes him grocery shopping) and Carmen Electra. “I’m doing stuff I want to do and having control over it,” Osbourne says. “I’m having a laugh, really.”
Beverly Hills, 90210 actress Tori Spelling, 30, is “beyond elated” about her engagement to actor Charlie Shanian, 34, and was eager to show off her giant diamond ring at the recent Motorola Holiday party in Los Angeles. (The event, which featured a live performance by Pink, was a benefit for the Toys for Tots foundation.) Spelling told us she is rushing to get all the plans in place for a summer 2004 wedding. Luckily, her groom is doing his part as well. “He’s said, ‘Just tell me where to show up and what to wear and I’m there,’ ” Spelling says. “He’s going to come to the wedding planner. He’s going to do it all. He just keeps saying, ‘Whatever you want.’ I’m lucky, I’ll tell you that. I’ve met a lot of guys in Hollywood and I got a good one.”
